Sparking Bold Change in Education

Craig C. Martin has had an active and impactful career serving in different leadership roles within education.

As the Executive Director of Bridge Boston Charter School, Craig oversaw district-wide initiatives that led to scholar achievement by 106%; increasing the % of Black & Brown staff diversity by 64%; and fundraising that annually met and/or exceeded the target by 10% or more.

As Principal of the Michael J. Perkins School, Martin sustainably increased student attainment by 320; reduced suspension rates by half and chronic absenteeism by 25%; and reversed the achievement gap for Latino/x and English Learning Scholars.

His awards include receiving the 2021 Excellence in Education Award by GFEL, named the 2018 National Distinguished Principal by the National Association of Elementary School Professionals as well as the 2018 Elementary Principal of the Year by the Massachusetts School Administrators Association; and the 2009 Educator of the Year by Boston Public Schools.

Craig was also elected to serve as the Chair of the Massachusetts Commission for LGBTQ Youth; President-Elect for the Massachusetts ASCD Affiliate, as well as his service on a numerous local, government, and national boards.

Craig earned his bachelors degree in Elementary Education from Dillard University and his Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Lesley University.

Through CCM Education Group, Craig has honed his 20+ years of experience in urban education as a teacher and school leader to coach, develop, and/or mentor hundreds of educators, school administrators, school districts, and non-profits iin making transformative changes in scholar & adult culture, adult learning, change management, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
